Also if you have a net you can get a good shot of the brook trout in the net underwater or let the fish breath underwater in the net while you get your camera out and photograph as you release
This was my first time carrying the camera and didn't really think it through. I realized pretty quickly that if I want to photograph the fish in the future a net is pretty much a necessity.

Yea also if air temp is in 30’s or 40’s and theres wind fish can frost with air exposure which can freeze their slime and kill em. So in the winter I take all my shots of the fish in the net or (their often sluggish) as they slowly swim away from my feet which gives me beautiful shots.
