Dry Fly Floatant

Alternate: Frog's Fanny. Any dessicant would work, I'd think. I'm not a fan of the packaging as it always breaks open in my bag and makes a mess!

How or why does the packaging break open?

Maurice,

I tried that last fall, plan on doing more of it...seems to work well.

I'm with Pcray, I use gink and frogs fanny. Pretreat hackeled flies with the gink the night before a trip and they'll float hi for a long time without additional treatment, even after a couple of fish. You can also pretreat on stream, it takes about an hour for a fly to dry after being ginked up. I use the frogs fanny on cdc and to revive waterlogged flies.
