Didymo in Esopus Creek

Another stream we need to add to our wader warning list: Esopus Creek in the NY Catskills.

[Brownout]

Ugh, how wonderful. Article states that some jet-set fly fisher transported it to the South island of NZ and it turned streams into trout-less swamps.

Do migratory birds carry this around? Obviously a felt boot is going to hold more life than some plummage, or a web, but, still, I'm guessing some bigger birds can bring these cells into the water.

And....it's in the East and West Branch of the Del. ahhh
