Diamondback clout grip.

Does anyone here own or fished with a diamondback clout series rod with the link grip?
I am thinking about building a rod and using a grip similar to it.
I am looking for a feedback on the comfort of the grip or an pro or cons after fishing with one.
I held one in my hand at a show this winter. It felt good but it was only for a minute so how does it feel after a day of fishing?

I handled one at the flyfishing show in Lancaster. It felt OK to me but I could not get past the look of the thing. They are plain UGLY IMO. I will stick with a conventional grip.
