A prior unassessed wild trout stream survey near the mouth of Dee Run indicated no wild trout present that far downstream. Geography and land use, however, suggested that there was an outside chance that wild trout might be supported farther upstream if seasonal flow and water temp were not limiting. Opportunity knocked today and a wild Brook Trout population was located. If any trout were present, Browns were expected, so finding Brooks was quite the surprise. While York Co has a good number of wild trout streams, I believe that this would only be the fifth wild Brook Trout population found there. Despite its 2.4 m avg width, some legal size fish were present.
