Dead stocked trout in the DHALO White Clay Middle Branch

FYI: MCTU does not have “UV lamped runs” if that’s who you meant as “they”. Muddy Creek WT at stocking time was about 40F. There was a cold front that moved in that day so the WT did cool as the day went.

Thanks for the information. I’ve passed it along.
Im just going off what i was told by a friend at work, so information is 2nd hand.

For those of you that are bashing the stockers there is no wild trout production in this stream. This is the exact type of stream that needs stocked. I can confirm the observation of many dead trout as my uncle also reported the same thing.

Lots of people get their start in trout fishing on stocked streams.
Lots of people get extra fishing time in because of stocked streams closer to home.
At least in my opinion some of these streams in SEPA are perfect places to stock.
I'm within walking distance of the Neshaminy which unfortunately is now polluted from the old WG navy base. Used to be nice to get a couple hours fly fishing in the evening without a long drive.

While it is polluted, the neshaminy is still a very good warm water fishery. Lots of big carp, big smallmouth that are tricky to catch, and lots of sunfish. You just gotta find the less pressured sections.

Here's right after the stock when I went up. Even spent 30mins clearing a big pool to attempt to get a fish or two. I'ce was close to 3" thick.

Yes. Have fished it many times for warm water species.
Last year I went up to the Tohickon to fish for stockies at Ralph Stover. There were risers but I couldn't connect. I switched to a streamer and ended up with an 18" smallmouth.

It's just that in April and May I'm in trout mode.
