Fished the DE surf yesterday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM with lead and bait, just up from the Cape on the bayside. Was misty in the morning, but no actual rain. Cloudy most of the day, started clearing up around 3:00. Wind was mostly out of the east but manageable. 1-2 foot breakers on the bay, but no real whitecaps. Water had a little debris, but was clear enough. Held bottom easily with 3 oz pyramids. 2's may have even worked.

Steady run of short Weakfish all morning, along with a couple of decent sized Croakers. The bite stopped about an hour short of the high tide (12:30 PM). After the slack tide turned it was a steady mix of skates, rays, and small sharks (both Dogfish and Sandbars). Fairly consistent action all day except right around the high tide. No Blues or Stripers, but an entertaining day with some decent pull-age nonetheless.

cool. i'd like to catch a weakfish on the fly.
