For those of you that fish PA spring creeks, you know the Cress Bug is a great producer throughout the year. In my newest fly tying video, I feature a simple one tied on a jig hook; enjoy.

I'd love to hear about any variations you make to yours, especially on the creation of the body...thanks!

I use a dubbing loop with olive sculpin wool. Can be trimmed to provide flat profile. Also, I never add weight to my cress bugs preferring to use the appropriate sized split shot 8-10 inches above the fly. Believe the flat body and unweighted fly best imitates the drifting action of the natural. Has worked for me on CV limestoners since the early 70s.
