Conowago "section between Zeigler Mill and RT340"

Was thinking about trying this location this weekend...anybody have an info on it. Will be my first trip up to SC Pa. and just trying to do a little research. Trying to stay around the Gettysburg area.

This section is approved trout water (ie stocked) and includes a fly fishing only section. I would recommend you look elsewhere if you're looking to trout fish. This section of Conewago gets warm in the summer and does not hold trout this time of year (or very few of them). It's a fun spot if you want to catch sunfish but don't bother looking for trout.

You could head up into michaux state forest to chase some brookies, go a little further and hit falling spring, or head north on 34 to the carlisle area limestoners. Not sure exactly how close you want to stay, but you could be stream side in 30-45 minutes with all of those options. Check out the county guide on the pa fish and boat site for maps.
