As a smallmouth junkie who likes coffee table type books, I couldn't resist Bob Clouser's "Fly-Fishing for Smallmouth." I wasn't disappointed. This is a nice book with beautiful photography to keep a guy motivated. While much of the tactics are basic and the river overviews are introductory, the info in these sections would be invaluable to beginners or trout guys looking to try river bass fishing. This book is especially good for fly tyers as it's filled with color photos of the many flies Bob has perfected over the years.

He has another book on tying his flies. The photography in that is superb. And it's worth the price to get his recipe for the Clouser Drake, the only dry fly worth a damn for the Green Drake hatch.

Bob's book is nice and it does have alot of pretty photos . But it dosen't compare to Tim Holschlag's book its not as pretty as Bob's but it has alot more information in it.

Frederick,
I agree, Holschlag's book does have more info.

Another thing about Tim he is going to be working on a DVD to follow up to his book I can't wait :-D
