Hope it’s not too early for this subject.

My wife used to make a lot of different craft items, including jewelry among other things, and for many years she and a good friend cleaned out her friend‘s family barn once each fall and had a “Christmas in the Barn“ where they and a few other friends sold their homemade craft items. Things like that go over big with the locals, and tourists, here in Lancaster County.

One year, I tied a bunch of Royal Coachman flies, and gathered some hemlock pine cones (while on Penns Creek fishing as I recall) and my wife used them to make Christmas ornaments that she sold in that year’s Barn sale. We also kept some of those ornaments, and for a few years I decorated my own fishing themed Christmas tree, using those Royal Coachman ornaments, together with many other fishing related ornaments that I have.

These ornaments are pretty easy to make, and some of you might want to consider making some for your own Christmas tree, or to give away at Christmas.
