The day started off with me meeting CathyG in the morning for a short float on the West Branch. She did a great job for her first time fishing from a pontoon which isn't easy to do sometimes. I promised to get her to land her very first Delaware River trout. Well, she got hooked up 8-9 times but we never got one to net. The conditions were great, nice weather and plenty of bugs.

Later in the day, a few more forum members trickled in. Beeber headed to the main stem after work and fished. DaveS met up with Josh and they hit the lower West Branch. I went back out after a short rain shower with Becker and PhilC. We did a float on the lower West Branch. Everyone in our group netted fish over 20". Lots of sulphurs but the fish were slow to respond. Below are some photos from the day. Day one of four in the books and it was a big success.

lol, that one guy looks like he just found a gold bar in the woods(3rd pic in more photos). You took all the people with you that fish the other places in Pa you can catch wild browns in pa that big to the Didymo factory, haha. Wash all your stuff pls.

Day two started with a little for 3 of us. The remainder of the group floated the lower WB. We met them in the Juction Pool for an evening float. A few showers, 3 shad and a bunch of trout. Another good day on the river.

Day 3 started out at 4 am. We launched at 5 to do a little streamer fishing. Unfortunately, this fish didn't get the memo. One hooked, lost and a few follows but none to net this morning. Grabbing a nap and back out for the evening rise.

Day three in the books. Everything from rain, sun, bugs, fish, no fish and a bear swimming around in front of us.

kray - am enjoying the pix and reports. You sure did put on a grand outing last year. I just spent 8 days up there last week and couldn't quite get myself going for another few up there so soon.
