Interesting that they found no scuds or cress bugs in Big Spring.

I wonder if Carnegie Mellon did all that sampling, or if they did a compilation from studies done by numerous organizations.
 
It looks like in many of the samples they collected a lot of riffle beetle larvae. They look like skinny caddis larvae. I wonder if it would be advantageous to imitate them.
 
I spent a good 30+ minutes looking around on those websites. Great information and pictures of the different species. Thank you for sharing this.
