Cabin Creek, York Co, trib to Susquehanna R @ Long Level

I think I know the access point used for the lower stretch near the river (owned by Safe Harbor if I am correct). I saw conflicting signs posted, some saying "no hunting or fishing" and some saying just "no hunting" with the fishing part blacked out. The signs are no more than 20 yards from one another and there doesn't seem to be a pattern to them and with no clear contact to Safe Harbor Power Corp. I am stumped. Any insight on this?
Yes, no fishing or hunting. Take my word for it the local police and game warden enforce this rule pretty tightly.

had a feeling this was going to start happening after he passed. Same thing happened with the meadow access by the trailer park after Lester passed. But also I think it has a little to do with the bank failing at the bend between the blue and red circles. The last time i was there a number of kids where jumping on and off that bank and crashing chunks into the creek, unless they start to re-enforce it, that field will loose more and more value as the creek carves out.

Interesting to read this thread from the archives. Not surprised to see the land got posted, as finding open water in SE York County can be a real challenge. I suspect a lot of it has to do with hunting more than fishing, but in the end purple paint and yellow signs is the law of the land!

I always wonder if putting specific streams and even locations on a public forum might possibly attract more people and then lead to an area being posted. A lot of these places the landowners are okay with a certain amount of activity but when it reaches a point they get tired of it.

Well as stated the farmer that owned the property passed away. And i dont think it was really closed due to fishing pressure or people there to fish. It was the closest open area for the youth of the nearby neighborhood to go, and they werent very conservative about what they were doing. Plus the stream itself was IMO class 3 at best (could extremely good with work), but it is what is for now. Things might change for the better or it might be lost for good, who knows.
