Anything special or good ways to get all the licenses I need? Trout and Erie are needed.

Saw the previous thread and good info there - looking for focused info. Thanks.

l bought the 3 year trout stamp last time
But prolly should have bought 5 also.

I think the Erie stamp has been eliminated now...

Since you young guys don't qualify for a lifetime trout stamp as I did back in the day, I'd go with the 5-year trout stamp along with the lifetime license.

If you are a vet go to the courthouse, standard license+trout ticket was 17 bucks in previous years
I never heard of this. I guess I'll give it a try.

TRUE STORY: As a Delaware Co senior, who was interesting in crabbing the Delaware Estuary, once responded to me upon my informing him of his Sr annual or lifetime license option, go to your family Dr for a check-up and then ask the Dr what his/her recommendation is regarding the time period you should select for your license and stamp.🤔😉

I am a Jersey resident. My NJ license is free for whatever that’s worth. I don’t qualify for a Pennsylvania Lifetime license. If you buy one does that mean that you can’t die until it expires?

When I got my Senior Lifetime License at The Sporting Gentleman (long time ago), Christine told me I didn't have to wait till my 65th birthday to qualify. I was able to get my Lifetime License at the beginning of January rather than having to wait till June.

Dear Les,

That is true. You just need to be buying the license in the year you turn 65. Your BD could be 12/31/1960 and you can buy a lifetime license right now in 2025.

Tim Murphy 🙂

My wife buys all of the guys their fishing license for Christmas every year. I told to to wait to purchase my license until after 1/1/25 since I turn 65 in September. She did not wait and purchased the senior annual license and not the lifetime license. The license is non-refundable. Does anyone know of the annual can be transferred to a lifetime license?

I would suggest fishing as long as possible.

My senior lifetime license is grandfathered because I bought it before the date when it was changed so only the basic license is lifetime. You now need to buy a trout stamp & Erie permit every year. I paid a little extra and got the credit card style license.

I have my Dads card after he died.
I framed with a photo of him fishing.
It now hangs in my tying room

That is a very nice tribute to your Dad. I have a picture of my Dad and me on my fly tying desk.
