This is a f-ing crime. I saw this happen this summer without knowing what was really happening, but knew it was mine related. I’m not sure of the timeline of the dewatering, but when I visited the stream it looked like the tail end of a major water release. The stream, and insect life was completely washed… no signs of life. The Bushkill water shed has so much potential, to see this kind of incompetency is alarming. I’ll remain hopeful.

I don’t want to speak out of ignorance, as I’m sure I’m not the most familiar with this stream or the quarry situation. But I’ve kept up with the numerous threads on here.
Question - What accountability (if any) has there been in any of the previous episodes? Were there fines? Discipline of any kind? Without accountability and significant financial repercussions, they’re basically just giving the stream the finger at this point.

There has been basically no accountability, unfortunately. The quarry has taken a stance of "actually, we help the stream", funny enough. They said this after the fish kill this past spring/summer.
To my understanding, no fines have been issued, and no further precautions to insure proper function of the pumps in the event of a power outage has been taken either (obviously, since it happened again).
