Bowfishing

Saw some bowfishermen out yesterday.

Does anyone know which species, besides carp, can be targeted by bow fishing in PA? Are quillbacks fair game?

Carp, suckers, and catfish are all that are to be LEGALLY killed.

Quillbacks are in the sucker family, so I'd say they're fair game. But, out of the bowfishers I know (8), not one has been checked by a WCO anyway.

The limit is 50 per day, whether with hook and line or bow and arrow, if I'm reading the regs booklet correctly.

Thanks. Just wondering about the quillbacks as they're probably the most numerous (reasonably large) fish that I see in the Susky and Juniata.
