I'm in my 3rd season with GripStuds installed in my felt soled Chota's.
I Have not lost a single stud. The only stud that shows some wear is the one installed in the middle foot area. I'll most likely swap that one out with one of the heal studs.
The Gripstuds on my winter wading boots look nearly brand new after one season.
Yes, they do cost more than Kold Cutter . But with that you get the peace of mind of not having to constantly check your studs , worrying about studs loosening, falling out or wearing out.
