Blue Marsh Lake

Spent the day yesterday, without kids finally, with my gf at blue marsh lake. Was able to do shore fishing for about 3 hours via the trail network. I did ok catching some bass but I wonder how much if any structure is really in the lake, close to shore. I was throwing an 8wt line with sink tip and never once got snagged even after hitting bottom. Has there ever been habitat enhancement on this lake?

My family used to boat and fish the lake often when I was a kid and it had been 20 years since I have even stepped foot in it.
I'm just curious.
I think going to the shallows in the early spring for stripers next year is going to happen. I tied a great alewife pattern just for it.

Thats the article I was going to reference. I hope to take the yaks or a small boat up sometime soon. I'll be taking a guided tour of the control tower and dam/flood controls next week for a conservation school I help with... looking forward to that!
