Black caddis

The alder fly hatch is the one the guys salivate over in New Hampshire. It is aquatic, lighter when it molts then darkening, and I catch it on the Androscoggin River if the fish gods allow me to. Here is my tie

ive always fished a peacock with a dark soft hackle wet fly when i seen those bugs always did well even on put n take streams like laurel hill fo course the alders i have seen there are smaller usually around a 14 maybe 16 they dont seem to hatch in swarms either youll see one here one there usually during a caddis hatch for me anyways
