Has anyone had any experience with the Beulah 9'5wt Classic rod? Can anyone compare it to the Echo3 from Echo Rods? Thanks!

I can't comment on the comparison between the two rods you mentioned but Ive owned two Beulahs and two Echos (all switch or spey rods) at one time or another. If I was forced to pick between companies I would probably take the Beulah. The Classic rods have more of a moderate action that feels good to me. Again, I've never handled the Echo 3 so I don't know what it's all about. Echo does have a stellar warranty. I don't know about Beulah though. I doubt any of this helps, casting them both would be the best, but you can't always do that.

For what it's worth, the one rod of that group that I still have is the Beulah Platinum. It's not going anywhere.

My beulah classic (actually a meiser designed 5-6-7) is a two hander.
My echo dh-11'9" 4wt is an original series two hander.
The echo flexes to the cork. The beulah is more medium- progressive.
Both are great casting rods. I almost sold the beulah and glad I didn't. It's the most often used rod I have for steelhead.
Not sure how all this info would correlate into a SH rod 5wt.
