I tie the worms in different sizes and colors. This one is my favorita way. I wrap light brown hare's ear dubbing around the lead with dark brown thread.

you could buy weighted nymph hooks or
add tungston bodies

i used to do this by mixing tungston powder with epoxy.

Bought some of those tungsten bodies at last years Somerset show. I tied up some scuds using them and was amazed at how heavy those things are - even the little ones. Tough to make a slender body though. Neat product, but not exactly cheap.
