I did, but I plan to return it

In my mind, that is the best small stream trout rod. The graphite III version is second in that category.

Dear Board,

I always wanted a Sage 4711LL after I had a chance to fish one, but since I already had a 279LL and 389LL I never got around to getting one. I love the Sage reel though; I use a 505 and have used a 503 and a 507 that were my brother's. I'll never part with my 505.

Regards,

Tim Murphy :)

Love, love, loveeeee the 500 series. I had a 503l (unit 0092) that I should have never parted with. Well at least I know where it sits. Great reels that feel and sound great! It's cool that SAGE commissioned Hardy to build these reels. The 503 was actually a mistake size, I think only 250 exist.
