Anyone use a fanny/lumbar pack instead of vest?

I use a Umpqua Ledges 650 with a Richardson chest box. Works well for 50% of my fishing. I fish waist to chest high water on Pine for a couple weeks each year and unload the pack into a shorty vest.

The rest of my fishing is chasing brookies and wild browns. No pack or vest required to carry a matchbox of #14 Royal Wulff’s, a tin of red Mucillin and an extra leader.

Never had that problem. I hang the net upside down so the handle is easily accessed. A lanyard insures the net is never lost.

I bought a William Joseph something that was on sale maybe ten yrs or so ago. Waist pack with a shoulder sling. Three separate pockets and a water bottle holder on each side. Was a vest guy prior. This waist/sling pack is easier on my back.
