anybody with a st croix, avid in a 5 or 6 wt review?

looking to see what people with one in a 5 or 6 wt 8-9feet long have to say about it.
i have one in a 6' 3wt, and really like it. i'm thinking about up grading my warm water rod from an imperial to the avid.
i'll be looking at the 8' 5wt version in particular.
can i expect it to be nearly like the 3wt, just longer with a tad more weight?

I own a 9' 5 wt. and it's my main rod.

I have said it before, I am an avid guy. I own 3, but 2 are the older model.
