Fished the Aughwick Creek, Huntingdon County last Saturday, while up at our cabin, with friends and family. We fished for about 3 hours (12-3 p.m.). I was the only one fly fishing, my 3 other buddies were spin fishing. I ACTUALLY OUT FISHED THEM AND CAUGHT MORE THAN THEM!!! I really didn't think that would ever happen. I caught a total of 15 fish. Mostly smallmouth in the 10"-12" range, and some fall fish. We had never fished this spot before. I new it was going to be a good day when on my first cast I hooked about a 12" smallie. I used a muddler minnow for a while then switched to a brown & white clouser minnow, which I caught most of my fish on. I lost a monster to a poorly tied knot. He was pushing 16"-17"! Can't wait to get back there!
