The Altoona Curve is rebranding themselves as the Altoona Brookies for a series against the Harrisburg Senators. I think this is really cool. I bought tickets, a t-shirt, and a hat for next Friday's game.

Good call! Those t shirts are both cool, out of the 4 colors btwn the 2 designs they only had the navy left in size Large. I grabbed 2, one for me and one for the old man for fathers day

Interesting. Do you know if they'll have "Brookies" hats or jerseys for fans to purchase?

I'm in TX so I won't be going but I have a buddy and his wife that are Curve fans. They'd be interested...

this was supposed to happen last year but covid.... the merch went on sale last year and unfortunately most is sold out. hopefully they restock for the actual event, i don't see why they wouldn't

Oh, makes sense why all the merch is gone, but it seems to be popular so they would be leaving money on the table if they dont re stock

It is really cool. Im trying to figure out why theyre doing it though. I saw the mayfly with a bat as the Harrisburg logo….maybe a few of the players love to trout fish?

Minor league baseball frequently takes on unique promotional gimmicks to bring more people out to the ballpark. Ticket sales, merchandise sales, food sales etc all are important for their bottom line.

It appears to be a supported promotional event from state agencies and local conservation groups to bring more attention to our state fish.
