Many of you know this but for others, if you've ever wondered why the parks where we fish are so well cared for, Google general Harry C. Trexler. You can drill down into his trust and see where his money continues to benefit us to this day. Simply put, a great man.

Donated land for the Boy Scout camp for the Allentown area scouts.

Also donated land and provided the vision for what is today the Trexler Game Preserve in Lehigh County.

He also owned the trout nursery in the LL parkway,he donated the land that carries his name,Trexler Memorial Park.I think he also donated most of the land that is SGL 205 that borders the Game Preserve. He was very wealthy but gave a lot away to benefit the future generations.....A great man indeed!
