Generally, when a person sends in their flies for a swap first they should de-barb (or use barbless) hooks - this saves on various piercings when casting! When attaching paper toe tags to these flies the flies will inevitably fall off their tags. Here's how to avoid this - fold the end of the paper tag over with the short end on top, now push the hook through both sheets of paper and lastly, open the fold a bit and create a paper hinge. The hinge will lock the hook in place. Then to remove the hook by pinching the fold back together and the hook will pop right out!

Oh, and I'm a bit of a self-promoter so... My first swap on this site is on the books. It is the Gilligan Swap (those with grey or no hair will have a good idea) or you youngsters can just Google "Gilligan's Island"). Or just look at the swap posting!
