Are those articulated, or just tied on something like 4x long hooks?

they are tied on a 12x long hook special made, light wire so it has some movement so fish can't work them loose. the length is 31/2 in. long for a 1/0 hook.

you'd be better off tying stinger style with a short shank hook

i like my flies a bit more sparse
the whole idea behind the intruder was a large profile with little material... also look at using materials that don't hold water
