2024 Fly Fishing Ambitions MIDWAY

SO, we are more than halfway thru the year, how are you guys with checking off those 2024 ambitions? I only got one left and it's going to be a hard one. To break my PB for Bowfin on the fly.

1) Beat my PB snakehead on the fly
2) Beat my PB Bowfin on the fly
3) Catch more Stripers on the fly
4) Buy a boat to chase all these fish

Only crossed off one of three on my list, but I got some non-list things done - like catching a handful of lakers - that I was just as happy about.

Midpoint year in review otherwise:

I'm disappointed that I haven't gotten any carp. I got three fish to eat one afternoon, but for some reason the hook pulled out almost right away with every fish. Otherwise, high water made my go-to spots tricky for a lot of the summer.

Local trout fishing has been so-so - a lot of small fish.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed to get in some striper trips and maybe a couple days in Montana before year end, but nothing is confirmed. I would also like to do a fall weekend on the Delaware. Damn, as I write it out I realize all of this is definitely not going to happen.
