As I only use these reviews as a reference after watching the videos on this review and reading past rod reviews. I can tell that Mr. Anderson is partial to the rods that he " helps design". I also take his reel and line preference with a grain of salt. I own a NRX 9 wt and it is by far for me the most powerful rod I have casted. Needless to say I will be giving the Scott Merridian a cast at Sommerset this weekend ,to see if it is the real deal.
