My shoes to get on the plane. :pint: :pint: GG

Thanks jack!! This is a big concern for me.

Personally, I usually catch more at the Jam on a partridge, starling or hen and yellow than anything else.

But one year, just outside of coburn I did well on light Cahill’s and Stewart spiders.

Another time people were catching on a simple caddiss .

I tye green drakes every year, but, they never come .

I would love to hear some new ideas.

sulphers

This. ^

Some rusty spinners are helpful too.

As Shakey noted above, green drakes rarely come out to play, but I have seen them some years and always have a few for the jam.

Nevertheless, sulphers are indeed the must-have pattern.

Looks like it's time to learn to tie a good sulphur

Jack,

That was a good question. I had to think of my favorites for that week.
I prolly could live with three and be pretty happy. Sulfurs, BWO and rusty spinners

i believe sulfurs are why i do best on a XXX and yellow.

the sulfurs out there are much more yellow . here, they're orange-ish

it's an emerger that utilizes tying thread for the tail;

Thanks Shakey!
He did not describe the hook brand/type in the video.
It looks like there is something on the shank of the hook before he puts his thread on...do u know what that is?

Thanks Shakey!! Ive seen pictures of that fly and its in Bill book. I'll have to put a few in my flybox for this season.

It seems like that thing on the shank is light reflecting + low-res video. Notice how it moves and changes shape based on the hook position?

The hook Bill uses for the CET is a Daiichi 1130 or Tiemco 2487 light wire scud hook.
