You've probably seen this viral video this week, but if not, it's pretty impressive. Goliath Groupers (formerly known as Jewfish) are now quite common in south FL and are often targeted by anglers. Goliaths are a protected species so it is C&R only, although many locals would like to see this reg changed. Anyway, they can grow to hundreds of pounds and big ones have enormous mouths easily capable of swallowing four foot long sharks or tarpon.
