I know we have done this a million times , BUT, lists change .
What’s your favorite jam flies ?

Current favorite wets;
Orange,yellow,peacock &PT soft hackles
Maurice
Gray Maurice
Light cahill
Professor & blue professors
Grizzly king
Queen of waters

To a lesser extent , dark Cahills ,GRHE, march browns and royal coachman

Past years a Stewart’s spider and wooly worms did well .

The dry I use most is just an ant for risers under the trees.

For drakes I have found any large green, gray, or yellow , wet or dry will work .

How about you?

Well, I've never been to the jam, I live 30-40 minutes away, and I don't think I'll be able to make it this year, either.

What kind of forum member am I?

Spring is just too busy on that weekend, every year.

I know we will discuss late into the night, and probably early in the morning, about the merits of these flies! And I will love every minute of it!! See ya next week!

Gotta be a sulphur for me.
They hatch every where at the time of the jam.
Don't leave home without them!

I agree with bill

Oh yeah, I’ll be running a soft hackle sulphur pattern (or a pheasant tail soft hackle with an orange thorax) above the Breadcrust, but I’ll generally catch more fish on the point fly:

John, are you planning on stopping by?

The penn state sulfurs are more yellow than eastern Pennsylvania sulfurs.
I often have more luck with a yellow rather than orange pattern

I’ve never been to one. I’m going to try to change my Kettle 4 day weekend next year to try to make the Jam. We have been doing the same May Kettle weekend for 16 years, but I retired last fall and everyone else is retired so we can be flexible. Time will tell if our cabin will be open earlier in the week.

Those of you headed to the Jam….enjoy.
