Yellow Breeches

Fished the Yellow Breeches on Thursday May 21 from about noon until 2. I fished from the run down to the beginning of the slow water. I used a large caddis with an emerger and caught 8 trout, most of them brookies, some on the caddis but most on the emerger. Also missed quite a few and had many chasers. Afterwards I got to thinking that several of the brookies appeared to be tiger trout.

Is that possible?

Should have taken a picture but was too busy caching fish.

The local club stocks the breeches often, I wonder if they've come across some tigers in their hatchery.

Sure, it's possible.
However, I've fished that section for many years and have never heard of anyone getting tiger trout, stocked or wild. The local club often does put a good number of brook trout in the The Run.

Thanks for the info. I never caught a tiger before, but these sure looked like the pictures I've seen.
