In Joe Bates "Streamer Fly Tying and Fishing" is the Yellow Breeches Streamer, no plate picture but just the description. Has anyone used one or tied one?
Head: Yellow
Body: Medium oval silver tinsel
Throat: The tip of a red hackle tied in vertically: of medium length
Wing: A yellow marabou feather, over which is a bunch of herl from a light brown marabou feather. The bunch of brown marabou is of the same volume and length as the yellow marabou feather.
Shoulder: Three herls of peacock feather on each side, tied in to separate the two colors of the wing. The peacock is of the same length as the wing.
Checks: Jungle ****
The fly was originated by R.W. McCafferty and Charles Fox, for fishing the Yellow Breeches
