what about loomis pro4x shortstix that are 7'6"? loomis also has a 6wt shorestalker thats 8'6". ive never fished em but im curious about em.

Thanks for the replies - I will probably avoid the higher end rod manufacturers unless I can specifically find the Bass II. I cant rationalize the cost of a rod for solid set up (or two!) which is the direction I am heading anyway. Glass might be my ticket anyway, I like throwing it anyway.
