I was thinking about a trip to the yough over Christmas break, are there any suggestions of the best stretches this time of the year and or is it even worth my time. Thanks
I've never fished there in the wintertime.
But if I did, I would try just below the dam around confluence. There is still a bit of a tailwater effect there right now, with the outflow temp at 45 degrees - still almost 5 degrees warmer than further downstream.
How long into the winter that will last though - I have no idea.
