I have to make a trip from Columbia, MD to New Holland, PA, in early April. Up 83 to York and then over to New Holland. After I get done with business in New Holland, where would you suggest I fish on my way home?

What brings you to the big town of New Holland? I work in that town, so just curious.

Most convenient to your route would be Donegal Creek:

Donegal Creek - Sec # 3
Upper Limit 250M DNST FROM PA RT 772 BRIDGE
Lower Limit T-334 BRIDGE
Miles 2.21
Special Reg # 1 Catch-and-Release Fly-Fishing Only

Second most convenient would be Codorus Creek:

Codorus Creek - Sec # 3
Upper Limit CONFLUENCE CODORUS CK W BR
Lower Limit 0.64 KILOMETERS DOWNSTREAM SR3082 (PORTERS ROAD)
Miles 2.60
Special Reg # 1 Trophy-Trout Projects

Third most convenient would be Muddy Creek:

Muddy Creek - Sec # 3
Upper Limit 275M DNST T628 BRUCE RD BRDG IN BRUCE
Lower Limit 275M UPST SR2032 BRIDGETON RD BDG BRIDGETON
Miles 1.50
Special Reg # 1 Catch-and-Release Fly-Fishing Only

I am sure that you can learn a tremendous amount about each of these three fisheries by doing a search on this fine site.

Good luck and let us know what you choose and the results.

Go slightly out of your way and visit Letort Spring Run. There is nothing like it this side of Scotland.

Find a farm pond with nice bluegills- ain't nae fish 'n at 'ere Leotort

Even though the Letort is right out my door, I'd second the recommendation to check out Muddy Creek. For me it would be a trip down memory lane having grown up in that area, and maybe a trip to Spring Valley County Park to fish the East Branch of the Codorus if you have the time, again for nostalgia's sake.
