What are the streams like?

Hey Guys (gals).

I was planning on driving out for a few days of fishing next week, probably Tuesday-Thursday, 24th-26th.

Just wondering how some of the central PA streams fared through the storm. I was planning of fishing the Little J, Spring Creek, and fishing creek up through the narrows.

Did everything get blown out pretty bad out that way? We had 8" of rain here in Joisey.

The Little J did spike upward and although it has fallen some, it remains too high to fish comfortably. Little J USGS Stream Gauge

When it goes below 3 ft. on this gauge, it should be very fishable, although easy wading is below 2.5. That is my assessment not being a local but having a bit of experience on the river at different levels. Spruce is always nice and fishes better when it is a little higher, I think.

Fished Penn's today for a half hour on my way home from picking up a new flyrod. A little high but limestoner green. Not at all off color.
Suprising, consider last week it was unwadable.

I'll report on Spring tommorow (unless I fish Penn's, either way I'm sure I'll drive by). If I had to speculate I would say it is probably fine. It is not nearly as affected by storms. The water will stay at higher than average levels for a little while because all the springs are full, but it remains fishable in all but the most torrential of storms.

Hope this helps. If you would like, you can PM me and I could give you my email address and we can correspond closer to when you are coming to the area.
