One of my my three year old Orvis wading boots started pulling apart where the soul meets the upper part of the boot. Not surprising, since I put on the miles for my fishing. I was a little bummed about maybe having to replace them, but had an idea.
I opened the gap a bit and applied some Gorilla Glue along the separated area. It expands a little bit, so I wiped off the excess and let it dry for a couple days. Put black marker on it for color. Well, I've fished two streams that are quite lengthy and very rocky. I collectively put about 8 miles on these boots since the gluing and they have not separated at all. Didn't really expect it to hold because of stress and moisture, but it's working beautifully!
