Vladi worm

I searched and couldn't find information on tying this fly. I have big question that I didn't think I would ever ask someone, let alone a internet community, when tying the Vladi "condom fly" do you remove the lube? This stuff with lube is a heck of thing to control and wrap.

I usually wash them, hang to dry (someplace the cat's can't get to them - they like to chew plastic bags...) and then re-roll it. Since the red ones usually usually smell like a horrible chemically fruit.

You can find none lubed on the web.Explain that to the wife.

pink yarn overwrapped with clear zip lock baggie strip will get you the same thing

Another tip. Keep the flies you tied in a ziplock baggie with a little lube. It keeps them from dry rotting. Even the flies after fishing with them.
