Valley Creek - another water main break around Chesterbrook

Was anyone on Valley the last few days? I'm late, just now catching up to the bad news. Apparently the break was around Duportail Road on Thursday. With WCO Bob Bonney now retired and most of the VFTU Board away, we are tardy organizing a stream survey looking for dead fish. Open Lands Conservancy was quick to recognize the problem and may have already assembled a team to survey.

There is a 10 cfs spike about noon Thursday, a long with a jump in water temps.

Anything anyone saw the last few days would be helpful.

That poor stream has certainly had it's share of issues with water main breaks over the years. Never ends.

So far, just fragmentary reports from mostly non-anglers - no obvious signs of damage, though we were days late to get an accurate read on fish kill.
