Enhancing the Tuscarora Lake warmwater/coolwater fishery over the years.

Some interesting observations, not so much regarding walleyes, but definitely panfish: 89% of the bluegills were over 8 inches - wow! Sounds like a great place to pitch a popper in the springtime. In particular, I'm interested in the drawdowns to defeat perch and the stocking of shiners as a forage base. I've not heard of this before. Has this been widely attempted? Is there evidence to suggest that policies like this may be more (or less) effective than Panfish Enhancement regs?

It's good that PFBC surveys like this one that target certain species, in this case walleyes, also provide data on other species.

Bummer about the muskies, but this is lake is on the small side for the big toothies and perhaps the habitat wasn't suitable.

And another work in progress: The Giving Pond in Delware Canal State Park, Upper Bucks Co. Don't be fooled by the name; it is 60+ acres and it is a former gravel quarry.

used to haul stone from there...

a 27" walleye - wow, that would be fun in a tube on a #6/7.

FWIW i think the best way to get rid of small yellow perch is grow on and stock some big ones - they are highly cannabilistic and see their own young as competition.

thats how the warmwater lakes in the UK end up with such large ones.
