The Tulpehocken Chapter Trout Unlimited will hold a fly fishing clinic for beginners Sunday, June 6th starting at 8:30 A.M.

The students and instructors will meet at the Red Covered Bridge Recreation Area on the Tulpehocken Creek at 8:30 A.M. The physical address is directly across from 2132 Tulpehocken Road, Wyomissing PA 19610. Click on the blue pin on the map below and you can put your originating address to get complete directions to the meeting site.

There will be a short introduction to entomology with students turning over a rock or two and learning what lives there and what it is trout feed on. This will be followed by some hands on casting instruction. The students will then be taken to the Tully for some fly fishing. The day will wrap up with both students and instructors meeting at the "Tully House" around noon for some soft drinks, burgers and dogs. If you have done little or no fly fishing and think this is something that would benefit you, please contact us. We can supply a small number of fly rod outfits for the morning for those who have none but please let us know so that we can accommodate you. The students are required to have their own waders or hip boots if you want to participate in the fishing portion of the program, after entomology and casting portions. We are asking that you please notify us via email at info@tullytu.org if interested so we can set up enough instructors. Feel free to email us at the above email address if you should have any questions. A license is not necessary since June 6th is one of PA's fish for free days. The charge of the clinic is $10 per student to help offset costs.

Feel free to PM with any questions.

I will volunteer my back to help with stream improvements or to float stock suckers in the fall.
