A few months back I floated the idea of throwing together a tourney of sorts. It morphed into a conservation/fun/fishing day.
A participant would be required to;
1. Collect a bag of garbage from the stream side
2. plant a tree
3. catch a fish
First person done with all three wins. Trees and bags and shovels would be provided. A group lunch would probably be in order at the closest bar....or restaurant.
I would like to do it in the spring, late March would be good.
I live in the SW, but any deserving stream in the eastern to central part of the state would be doable. If we do it in parch it would have to be on project water. If you can think of a better stream that will be closed we can move it after opening day.
Please let me know if you are interested. If I get no or little response, I will choose the stream and will open it up to a local boy troop.
