On Wednesday I took a walk along 2.5 mi of the Little Lehigh from the hatchery downstream. Didn’t see any Tricos and a few anglers told me that there had not been any activity. On Saturday I walked a short distance along Catasaqua Ck, another Lehigh Valley limestoner, and Tricos were very active.

They've been hatching for a week or more in Berks County streams.

Yo Mike - thanks for the headsup. Decades ago when I haunted the LL, I used the Fourth of July as the target when ffishable spinner falls would be around. The LL runs cooler than some other streams, so the Trikes take a bit longer to start emerging.

Witnessed a pretty decent Trico hatch while fueling up my truck just after daybreak at the Clarks Ferry Sheetz gas pumps earlier this week, unfortunately I was going to work instead of going fishin’.
