hey guys,
very very new to fly fishing and im living in jamison pa.
Was wondering how long the leader line should be plus tippet. I have heard 9 feet from some and 7 feet from others. Does it really make a difference to a fish or is it just someones preference.
I was also told using a split shot will help. does anyone else use a split shot on their leader line? how long does the split shot have to be from the fly/worm?
Also i heard using worms looking flys works best. can anyone recommend one. I usually shop at Eastern outfitters in doylestown. The person i asked wasnt specific the last time i asked what was good for neshaminy.
Any other advice and are there any other good fishing holes local to jamison?
Lastely, i have been using youtube to learn to cast, anyone have any other videos online to go by?
