A while back, I was playing around with GP tippet wings to create some classically inspired salmon flies, and another member (I believe it was sandfly) brought up a classic Canadian Atlantic salmon fly called the "Golden Girl". So, for anyone unfamiliar with that pattern, I whipped up one from a recipe I came up with after examining a few illustrations and modern recreations...enjoy :)

Very nice, that's something I want to learn to do, tie salmon flies especially since I fish for Atlantiac Salmon and LL Salmon. But I need to take the time and right now I haven't the time to tie the flies I need every day.

I'd love to get to use them for what they were intended for, but unfortunately my work schedule and finance won't allow any trips to Maine or Newfoundland anytime soon, so they will go into shadow boxes for now :-(
